Thursday Night Casual, Friday Night Magic, And a Booster Draft

The votes are in, and the this Thursday Night Casual tournament will extended.  Good luck to everyone who will be participating in this event, as you most likely be building new decks for the "new extended."  Here is a link for the legal sets for extended, along with the current banned/restricted list.  All decks must consist of at least 60 cards in the main board, with the option of a side board.  If you choose to use a side board it must be exactly 15 cards.

Extended format
This event doesn't count for DCI ratings and rankings, nor will it add to your player rewards.
Prizes will be giving out just as soon as I receive them from Wizards (I put in another request today, hopefully I'll get them soon).

BOOSTER DRAFT!

I received this email earlier today, and I thought I'd pass it along:

"I will be hosting another Magic The Gathering M10 booster draft tournament (I'm sorry I tried to get enough Zendikar but could not) on Oct. 23rd, starting at 5pm in room 341 on the third floor of DUC.  Room 341 is located right across from the Bookstore.  However, please come to the Bookstore first, earlier than 5pm so you can purchase your packs (as the Bookstore closes at 5pm sharp).  The tournament fee will $10.I would like to hear from you if you wish to attend so I can have enough supplies for everyone.  Please bring your DCI number if you have one.  If you need a number I can provide you one at the event.Here's the run down of the prizes for the draft:

Every participant will receive a d20


FIRST Place - Winner receives

* 1 – MTG zippered gaming case
* 5 - Packs of MTG boosters (Shards of Alara)
* 1 - Exclusive MTG playmat (First place has first choice of 3 playmats)
* 1 - Ultra Pro poly deck box (First place has first choice of 3
deck boxes)


SECOND Place - Runner Up receives

* 2 - Packs of MTG boosters (Shards of Alara)
* 1 - Exclusive MTG playmat (Second place has second choice of the
two remaining playmats)
* 1 - Ultra Pro poly deck box (Second place has second choice of the

THIRD Place

Friday Night Magic

I will be having FNM this Saturday at the usual time/place/format.  The FNM card for this month is browbeat.  FNM is a DCI sanctioned event that carries with an 8k value, and a regular REL.  FNM is for teaching people, so don't let a thing like never have playing in one discourage you from showing up.  I will be there and I don't mind showing people "the ropes."

5:30 P.M. Saturday October 17th.  3rd floor of WKU's DUC (next to the book store).

Standard (type 2) format
1st and 2nd will receive one FNM browbeat each, with two more being handed out at random to the players that didn't finish 1st or 2nd.
